welcome Wendy,Oh dear all these drugs you have tried & up to yet nothing seems to be working for you!!Me i am on 20mg mtx Top doses sulphasalazine every day, steroids 20mg every day,Like you Etanercept injections never worked on me.I have just had my first infusion of Rituximab i am keeping my fingers crossed this will help me.I had to take slow releasing morphine capsules day & night also liqiud morphine during the day as the pain was so so unbearable along with the swelling in all my joints everywhere over my body.I did not how i woke up each morning,as i could go to bed fine then either during the night the pain would start.THerfore i could not make arrangements for any day.It as left a once jolly postative person so very very down.So Wendy i realy wish you all the best with all these trials & errors you are going through & shortly something out there works for you.

Hi Everyone

I would like to introduce myself,

My name is Ash, I am 40years old, I was diagnosed almost 18 months ago, although I had many symptoms prior to my diagnosis which I just ignored and never though it could be RA.....I have a son who is 22 years old, and married to a lovely man who is very supportive and very caring.

I am taking methotrexate, prednisolone, leflunomide, slow release morphin & liquid morphin. And nothing seems to be healing, my consultant will be starting me on biologic treatment.

I look forward to talking to you all.

Ash. X

Hi Wendy, we have quite a bit in common i am 43, RA flared up age 27 and officially diagnosed at 28
I have had employment issues too you are right ~ let it go - there are better employers out there and all that negative stress is an unnecessary evil xx
NRAS have done some excellent work supporting people with RA in the workplace and also informing employers about this condition which some find so hard to understand x
Look forward to talking to you again x

Hello to all the other newbies here too ~ Liz xx
